| The XBox 360 was released in November of 2005 with much anticipation. Hordes of Xbox fans lined up outside of retail stores and shopping malls to get their hands on the next generation gaming console. Microsoft definitely did not disappoint. There were 2 different versions of the system available when it first came out- A Premium Edition and a Core system. The Premium Edition included a 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, remote control and HD cables. The Core system only came with a wired controller and A/V cables. Recently, Microsoft has introduced the Xbox 360 Elite, which has a 120GB hard drive and comes with a high-definition (HDMI) cable. Although there wasn't a huge selection of games available at launch, today there is a wide variety of different games in many genres to choose from. |
